The Gent Family Blog: July 2012

Some final maternity pictures- taken at 38 weeks on my parent's farm. Adam and my sister Monica were the photographers. Monica had a lot of ideas, unfortunately we didn't get to do most of them. It did not go as planned- I wanted more family pictures and ones with Jace, but due to the heat the boys were not really cooperating. Adam was pouring in sweat and decided he wasn't going to wear a shirt...and Jace was more interested in finding cow pies in the field. I was quite miserable too. I had just come from a doctors appt and my doctor was convinced I would go any day and be early due to how far I am progressed- but she also said the same thing with Jace and that never happened! So just in case we got a few last shots before baby arrives!

We never thought we would be moving this summer, but mid May this year Adam and I just decided one day, why not? We need more space and storage, an extra bedroom would be nice, and we were about to spend $2500 to put a fence in our yard when we were not really happy there. Although we loved the backyard pond (which became a safety issue as Jace always made a run for when outside) we did what we had to do. We looked with our realtor and found a house we loved, made an offer, got it accepted, then put our house on the market May 18th. An hour after it went on the market, we had a showing, then an offer! After some negotiating, we got the closing date moved to 3 weeks before the baby was due, and we are so blessed it all worked out this smooth. Our realtor said this rarely happens, so we can't complain!

We all love our new house- it is beautiful, a great neighborhood, tons of space and storage and has a huge backyard- with a fence :). Plus an added bonus it came with a hot tub and whirl pool bath. It also had a vegetable garden and lots of plants and landscaping- so I need to brush up on gardening skills.

Between the move, the heat, and all the yard maintenance, I may be a little in over my head being a few weeks from my due date, but it will all be worth it!

We moved in Monday, June 2nd, which was crazy- Adam's brother Tyler and Amber had their baby Noah that day, plus it was unbelievably hot- but everything worked out in the end!

Here are some pictures- nothing on the walls yet but most the stuff had been somewhat organized atleast! This baby better not come anytime soon- but atleast now if I go to the hospital I know where my stuff is!
